The exhibition of icons is continued in the next room through a small corridor at the end of the western wall of Room 2. This is an octagonal construction with a dome in the middle where Christ Pantokrator was painted by Sozos Giannoudes.

The granite is ornamented in the middle with the picture of a peacock symbolizing the heavenly paradise. It has been constructed with multi-coloured pieces of marble and is the work of the artist George Gracier. Besides the icons the room contains byzantine frescoes, wood-carvings and church furniture.
Pict. 53. Processional Cross, 14th-15th century.
Pict. 54. The Crucifixion, 1520.

Pict. 55. Mother of God the Kykkotissa, 15th-16th century.
Most impressive among the icons are the older ones belonging to the 13th century such as the icons of Christ (E836), of the baby-holding Virgin (picture 61), of Saint John the Baptist in full figure (c. 1280) together with the donor of the icon John Moutoullas (E822) at the lower right corner and the icon of Saint Basil (E834).

From the 15th-16th century we mention the baby-holding icon of the Virgin with the inscription "MP ÈY the Kykkiotissa'' (picture 55) one of the oldest with such an inscription as well as the icon of the Crucifixion of Christ together with the donor priest Kyrillos Katzouros, a work of the year 1520 (picture 54).
